(Frustrated?) Pick a paradigm? Lets do the physical paradigm. My own experience is proof to me that I have complete control in my life over 2 things! Total control! Absolute control! What isssss' the problem here? The two things I have complete control over are --------------------- "WHEN I CHANGE MY SOCKS AND WHEN I CHANGE MY UNDERWEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????? Everything else is a "duckshoot!!!"(hitandmiss???)Because we fail more often than not, we stop trying to make the changes which will improve the quality of our lives and often the length of our lives as well. How do we change successfully? Copy this blog or get your pen and paper and take notes.(there will be a pop quiz at the end of class!-just kidding "AWARENESS IS THE KEY TO CHANGE!" Once I become aware of the answers I can choose to change!---or not---! #1 There is a natural resistance to change. What is usual is comfortable not because it is good but because it is familiar. We resist change out of #2,fear. #3. What if I fail? SSSSOOOOOWHAT!!!FAILFAILFAIL!!! win!!!! IF YOU NEVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE A BASKETBALL SWOOOSH THE GOAL, YOU NEVER WILL LEARN TO PLAY!!! The game of life (ODAT) requires that i try and fail. Once I learn and practice, practice, practice, i become better and better at the skill of life! The more we try and fail the sooner we will try and be successful. History is full of experiments? Failure is much more frequent than success. Reinvent yourself! Go rent the move "Groundhog Day" and watch actor Bill Murry(?)change and become a success in life and love. What ever you want to do in your life is possible(if it is reasonable) I promise! If it is not to be, then we pick another goal and get busy!!! That is what life is! Go live your life! Be sober! Have a ball! Blessings! Blog on! Mr. Denny(www.acureforaddiction.com)

When I first began my AA membership I was blessed to have many men and women of great maturity(they were really old!)who took PITY on me. I suppose I was a bit pathetic. No home, no car, no family, no money and no hope! Yes pathetic is a good discription. Those people helped me save my life! I love them to this day and many of them have passed on to that great big meeting we will all attend one day! At least those who have their spiritual house in order.(that is another blog) The AA big book volume 3, Chptr.5, How it works,we learn "that there are those among us who have grave emotional and mental disorders, but many of them do recover if they have the capacity to be honest." Dying alone with addiction and other challenges or learning to accept life on lifes terms and stay sober with the help of the most successful treatment program in the world, AA! The price is right also! It is free! I have attended AA in 15 different states and 5 foreign countries, This is the real deal! Do 90 meetings in 90 days, if you don't care for the results( they will cheerfully return all your pain, misery and suffering!). The first old timer who told me that really"chapped my ---) Ticked me off! Then he said unless you have a better idea? Truth was, I had no other place to go! Beat, whipped, defeated and ruined, that was me. I stuck around and they stuck with me. almost 22 years, one day at a time!(ODAT) Blessing and blog on. Mr. Denny

you wont stay sober and clean! Don't we wish it was that simple! When addiction to any chemical has ocured, the thinking of the addict is damaged with delusion, deception, anger, fear, loathing of self the ordinary person does not know! Casting off everything that has been in addiction is terribly frightening for the addicted. With support the addict learns to avoid all people, places and situations where substance use may occur. If we run into it or them, we smile calmly and exit quickly from the situation. Flee from evil is another way to look at it! Learning how to do things one day at a time is likened to, "How do you eat an elephant?......."One small bite at a time! To expect an addict to change forever, today, is impossible! It is possible to change our actions today! Thus, one day at a time. We change the behavior from something that is impossible to something that is possible And desireable!!! God bless us all! Whooops!! Have you ever made a computer mistake and then wondered why your information was not where you sent it? WELLLLLL, THE MORON AT THE KEYS WAS(ME)! I goofed but now i'm back!Heres what is up with my people...Hello everyone, I hope you have had a good day so far? Mine has been excellent. One of the goals of sobriety, which is encouraged by most AA sponsors, is mirrored in the H.O.W. printed in our books and literature. Honesty, open mind and willingness to “DO THE WORK!” Recovery from addiction is no easy task, most suffer terribly for years and then die! Those who pass in accidents are almost, ”the lucky ones!” Jaded attitudes come from life experience which includes the horrors of addiction. Those who do recover usually simply choose to live rather than die. Oh yes! It really does get that bad, eventually! The disease of addiction, according to the A.M.A. is Primary (not caused by another sickness,) progressive (it always gets worse, never better,) incurable and when left untreated, terminal. Recovery rates are pathetically low with out intervention and therapy. I could go on for hours, that’s why I wrote 2 books and a website, check it out! www.acureforaddiction.com God bless you!
