 Crisis Management on pornography

Pornography is not necessarily the challenge... < mrGoodpenny > 02/19 11:58:12

Glad you asked. The sight of a naked female to a man is stimulating because of the way we are "wired." When you understand and are aware of your difficulty you realize that it is your body chemistry which causes the stimulation. 1.Clean house!. Avoid all visual quests. 2.Avoid all places where the behavior occurs. 3. Cancel all materials and medias which supply your "fix." 4.Keep the focus on your mental health by reading only helpful information regarding your concern. If you have a spouse, behave naturally, enjoy your spouse and avoid any other source of the problem. Let the work begin. Let me know how you do. Be blessed and good health. Mr. Denny

Brian M. joins our Technogroup therapy here!

The benefit of technogroup therapy is that its cost is real good (free) and the quality is very high. Check out everything you get for free here with your other professionals at their standard rates. The differences are many and this forum can not meet everyones need in a timely manner. In crisis you need other professionals as their main concern is the delivery of health care services. Here you get a free ride because I am under no professional obligation to do or not do anything other than what pleases me to do. Self centered? Self serving? ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! RETIRMENT HAS IT'S PERKS! Ya Baby!!hahaha Sorry, I just had to do that!ha Now about your situation. Steps 6&7, in 6 we get ready and 7 we ask! It is almost like ready set go! When you ask God to work and humbly seek his will in your life, he will answer in one of three ways. (my experience) The answers are 1, Yes 2, no, 3, not yet. My problem with prayer is not agreeing with God and thinking it makes a difference to him. It does but he still has his own timetable and I need to be patient and seek a little longer. Be blessed, good health! Mr. Denny

5 of my sponcees called tonight, i took...

the night off! My sweet Pamela and I had dinner out with our group and enjoyed the time away. As important as my men are to me, I never once considered them in my decision to have dinner away from home. Healthy relationships do not require unnecessary attention. If my men are not able to have a night of privacy on their own, then, I have not done a good job as a sponsor! I expect I will get "ribbed good" for not being home for them to contact but you see in healthy relationships, "wanting is not needing." There is a difference! A healthy difference. The ability to be independent and healthy is one of the main goals of good parents or sponsors. We all have our work to do, don't we! Be blessed and good health! Mr. Denny

If there is life, there is hope! Death is the end of the story!

Chrystal Meth is not a totally new drug. I believe it has been around since WWII. German scientists formulated it to make their army more aggressive and alert! i.e. dangerous! Today the drug is all about money and death. The chemical is nothing but a combination of poisons used to alter the human mentally and physically. Nothing good can come from its use. The deterioration of the user is almost immediate as compulsions and depressions along with inappropriate behaviors surface! Detox is recommended as quickly as possible. The next drug experience sinks the user deeper in the mire of the delusion that the intense pleasure felt by a spike in "brain dopamine" can produce something sublime! It can not! It will not! Meth ruins everything that is good in your life, then you die---or---get clean! Survive, please survive! There is a good life after meth! I promise! Be blessed with health! Mr. Denny

I am still powerless after all these years!

A very long time ago a supervisor told me that I needed to take the word "every, out of the 12th step!" I had just lost my first client to suicide. It was a traumatic event for me as I had all the predictable questions and feelings that a new counselor might have! It did take me 3 days of processing his (COLD HEARTED COMMENT) for it to finally register with me. He was not a mean supervisor, he felt badly about the loss but he understood that I had no responsibility in it. "EVERY" alcoholic does not get sober, many die! He wanted me to understand and accept that fact of life and death! Relapse is a return to the disease after a period of recovery. Every alcoholic does not get and stay sober. Good health, be blessed! Mr. Denny
