acure for addiction

Culpability is due the addicted, it is a matter of time!

However well intentioned our recovery the culpability we bare is with no excuse. The inventory process allows us to examine our addicted life with some objectivity. We seldom appreciate the picture we see! An individual who is impaired with chemicals is with no defense against their next error. When we attend meetings of recovery we are witnesses to the current reality show being lived by our fellows. Death, destruction, broken families, trauma spans the personal human existence of our group members.
The AA coins many of us carry in our pockets remind us of the purpose we each have in recovery, "To carry the message to the recovering alcoholic(addict)! "Every day well lived is a fond memory of yesterday and hope for tomorrow, so live well therefore, this day!"Good Health and Be Blessed! Mr. Denny Goodpenny

Sir Carl motivates me to contribute recovery!

I wrote to Sir Carl the following:

"Sir Carl, glad you are writing again! I have had a lot of trauma as you discus regarding your "Qualifier! I do admire your "staying power!" Family we are committed to are our motivation for our own recovery, that is certain!
With your permission ( i will refer another to you?)her daughter 20 years old has had serious health issues due to alcohol toxicity! Very high BAC's and comas requiring hospital services. She is there now and almost did not survive this last binge!
Your contribution to this effort(our blog!) has to help everyone who searches for the sanity recovery provides. I will give your info to a prosecutor working the case also. He is a recovery advocate!
Thanks again, wishing your family good health and blessings! Mr. Denny Goodpenny"

"What is a cure for addiction?"

03-08-07
Having traveled several countries and witnessed the social and political reaction to substance abuse, I wonder? Many policies to combat the behavior of "using drugs" and none have been successful for the long term. Is it possible that their is no satisfactory solution to this problem? People are unaware that this is the goal! No solution! As a result, in America alone, we spend over one trillion tax dollars annually to deal unsuccessfully with this problem.
What is the solution? "ACURE" for addiction!
My Name is Dennis L. Howard (CASAC RET) and I am the author of the book, "The Script, ACURE For Addiction."
When local governments receive this valuable information and implement it through the local health departments or municipal courts, a process begins which is guaranteed to be successful and a revenue producer for the community rather than a tax consuming government program designed to grow forever!
The alcohol and drug abuse business is just that, "A business!" When those who suffer with substance abuse, addicts, abusers but most importantly, the family members that love them, gain this information, ACURE for Addiction begins.
For more information or to confirm my credibility feel free to contact my references at my website, www.acureforaddiction.com

Is relapse an event or a process?

People who are new in recovery often lack the understanding of our “Recovery Speak?”
First, we should know the difference between “practicing our disease” and “recovery?” Sponsors are great at clarifying the terms we use. For this blog,” recovery is the place where an addict is comfortably sober without chemicals, I.e. “in recovery!” Sober with no desire to consume any mood altering chemical for a high. People who must use medically necessary compounds should be “rigorously honest with their doctors and sponsors about this situation.
People often remark “I had a slip!” To my way of thinking, drunk happens before we ever touch the chemical. We must first decide to go to the place or associate with the people who use it or sell it to us before we can consume it! That is premeditated drunkenness! Sorry folks! You don’t get a “poor pitiful you!” from me! You got drunk! It was your decision to get drunk! No accident or mistake here!
Accepting responsibility for our behavior must occur before we can claim to be accountable! Long term recovery can not occur without accountability! So, develop the ability to be “rigorously honest!” Long term recovery requires it!Good Health and Be Blessed Mr. Denny Goodpenny

Integrity is earned through predictable behavior.

Today I went to court with a client who has 2 DWI arrests and doesn't believe he is alcoholic. The Judge wanted to know why the arrest warrants were outstanding for such a long time?
We understand the behavior of the practicing alcoholic. The alcoholic does not think their behavior is wrong or bad or different from"everyone else?" Denial is a psychiatric malady suffered by many alcoholics. If you think getting arrested for DWI is normal and "everyone" does it, "YOU ARE SUFFERING!" Not as much as those who love you are suffering!
We say recovery is a selfish program because we must do what we must do to remain sober! If the addict does not stay sober, death is a real possibility? Today, the Judge gave my man a chance to get sober and learn to live sober in the program with my oversight.
Integrity is earned everyday we stay sober and learn that "our word is all people have to measure us by in recovery. Be Congruent! "What you think should match what you say and match what you do!" Good Health and Be Blessed Mr. Denny Goodpenny www.acureforaddiction.com
