Mr. Larry J. gets his 2 year chip tomorrow ! Sponsoring people in recovery truly teaches you(the sponsor) what you know and what you don't know as well as you need to! Years ago when my sponsor Dr. Al W. would say," I get more from you than you get from me!" always seemed impossible! Now after a few years of helping others, I understand. The AA program teaches that we keep our sobriety by giving it away! We focus on helping the next alcoholic which makes us "involved in the recovery process!" Being actively involved in recovery means I am less likely to "pick up!" We all know that we have to "pick up" to administer our chemical of choice! If we don't "pick up" we remain abstinent, thus, sober! "Every day well lived is a fond memory of yesterday and hope for tomorrow, so live well therefore this day!"
CONGRATULATIONS MR LARRY J!!! Many more!

You know i have never heard that before."Work your way into better thinking" Thats sounds right.
I have tried to "think" my way out of acting and have only had limited results. A few months per stretch. My sponsor is a hard person to get a hold of. I made a few calls and did eventually get ahold of a friend.
What a day it was....
Thank You for all your help Mr.Denny. Sometimes i do pretty good for a while then i'll have one of "those"days that every minute is a struggle. I wish i never touched the stuff, any of it, ever.....
